Another Great times in the R&B world

This month of February is gone 2 a tragic start: the creator & host of Soul Train Don Cornelius died last Wednesday. He paved the way 4 many programs like BET, MTV, etc. May he Rest in Love, Peace and SOUL.

Now another great news ahead: NY Giants won the Super Bowl XLVI!!!!!!!!🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
Nothing more 2 say about that. Of course I'm rooting 4 the Giants!!!!! And like Full Force said in their tweets, "Giants are gonna kick some f@$king ass!!!" and they're right!

Second great news, I've just been followed by Five Star's own Stedman Pearson (and yes, I remember listening to Five Star on the radio growing up since pre-K) and just tweeted that his debut solo single is due out in end of March & album due out in May. We, Five Star fans worldwide, all wish him the very best of luck this year.
And speaking of albums, we "can't wait another minute" 4 their new CD as well (esp. the reunion tour in the fall of this year). So watch this space....

New year, Greater times ahead

Hey. It's been a long time coming since I last posted, but I hope y'all enjoyed a great holiday & a healthy new year.
First off, I've just listened 2 some snippets of new songs by Stedman Pearson on Soundcloud.com (Yes, THE Stedman Pearson from Five Star), and let me tell ya, those tunes were on point. I loved each one of them - including "I Could Be Just Anyone".
If I had 3 wishes this year, I bet all Five Star fans all over the world just can't wait another minute 4 his debut solo album due out in March. Stay tuned...

And speaking of Five Star, I've just got read on Twitter that their 3rd & 4th albums Between The Lines (1987) and Rock The World (1988) will be reissued. "Sound Sweet", huh? 😉
If you haven't downloaded the songs "Problematic" & "It" (which Doris Pearson wrote) on iTunes, you better do so because these tunes are a must-listen! 🎶

Last year is full of joys, sorrows & outrageous moments - from Astronomical Kid's song "Stop Lookin' At My Moms" on 106 & Park to the tragic deaths of Nick Ashford (Ashford & Simpson), Vesta Williams & the Mother of Hip-Hop herself Sylvia Robinson (remember the song "Pillow Talk"?), and hip-hop legend Heavy D. 😢
